About me

I have a dream

I have a dream. I am Basilri Kim, and I want to build a company that earns its place among South Korea's IT unicorns. Through that company, I want to make everyday life more convenient and enjoyable.

How I started

I initially wanted to become a frontend developer because I liked dynamic interfaces. Since starting my career, I have consistently worked with React.js, Next.js, Sass (SCSS), Redux, and Zustand. As I continued developing software, I became interested in backend work and began studying Node.js, Java, AWS, and computer science. More recently, I have also taken on backend tasks in company projects.

What I think a developer should know

I believe a developer should understand the backend and infrastructure as well as the frontend. When I first heard the term 'full-stack,' I thought it was unrealistic. After more than two years working in the field, however, I came to believe that understanding the full range of software development is part of proving my value as a developer.

What I want to learn next

One day, I want to have the skills to handle a whole project myself: architecture, interfaces, error handling, servers, security, and infrastructure.
